If you referring to the reservoir yes you cannot change it you need to change the whole tank

 

Resevoir looks VERY similar if not almost the same to whats used on a few BMW models (ZF Power steering fluid resevoir, ect..) They work the same way with the integral filter. Wouldn't be surprised if its a variant or cross references over.

Absolutely. I shot that video off the cuff and left that out unfortunately and its just as important as the other filters. Almost more so because if its plugged then everything downstream works much harder. If i remember right its just a strainer that isn't able to pulled out. You may have to refresh my memory. Last time i touched one of these was 2009-2010 aside from recently on my own 360.

 

I believe the part numbers are the same for both 360 and 430 ..there are two parts for sure in the 360 (low and high side)and not 100 percent sure in 430 but I believe the same

 

I just checked Eurospares parts diagrams and you're absolutely right. They are the same part number for the inlet filter on both the 360/430.

When I picked up the high pressure filter for the 360 at an independent shop here locally, I had a good chat with the Ferrari master tech/owner who happens to be a good friend (oddly enough he used to work at the same Ferrari dealer I did, but many many years later on!).

Anyhow, he mentioned the same high pressure filter is in the 360/430. There is also a high pressure filter in the 575/599/612 apparently too as well. I personally haven't ever replaced one on any of those models, because most owners hardly drove the vehicles or put miles on them! Also I didn't even know it was there as the parts diagrams don't even list it (aside from the 360). So take that with a grain of salt about the later models until someone can get in there and physically confirm it.

I trust my friend, but i didn't ask if the part number from the 360 was the same one used beyond the 430 into the 575/599/612. It would make sense that it COULD be, simply because it looks like on the parts diagram for those that the same style fitting from the solenoid block is used to adapt into the high pressure line, but that could also be coincidence.

How does this compares to the Launch X431 Pro that I always see recommended? I know price is significantly lower on the thinkdiag but is the functionality the same?

 

Like every other scanner ...short cable to interface with scanner body ..then software connects Bluetooth to scanner

Thank you for posting the part number for the 430, I'll update my video and throw that in there in an effort to try to keep this info in one place for the next person that trips over it.

 

There are high and low pressure filters ..one in feed (pressurized ) and one in return line to pump ..nothing in E-diff

 

Any chance you may have part numbers handy?

 

Also remember on a 430 there is a E-diff bleed as well

 

Ah yes....cant forget about that one. Does that mean there are two filters? One for the F1 system and one for the E-Diff?

 

For a f430 get a thinkdiag2 and install the software on an Android device ..you will have all functions for about 210 total

Yep! Same for the F430. Release bearing hydraulic block on the side of the gearbox has the same weak point like the 360 even. Same filter in the solenoid block also.

I don’t know for sure if the Foxwell NT530 officially works on the F430 or not, or what test procedures it has as I haven’t tried it on one (yet).
