When using a battery charger / tender is it possible to leave the battery disconnect switch "on" when charging / maintaining without doing any damage?
It seems a shame to have the ecu's re-learning every time I want to plug the tender in.

Thanks.

I never switch the 550 off when plugging the tender in. The tender only tops up the battery when it drains and it uses fairly low amps. There is no danger to the electronics, as far as I am aware. Just don't jump start the car with a booster, because then you can damage the processors due to the sudden high load on the circuit.

Onno,

Thanks,

I have heard that jump starting Ferrari's can be risky, I plug the charger/maintainer in if I'm not going to be driving the car for a few days.........so far, so good, of course THEN I read in the owners manual to turn the disconnect switch off before charging.
