Oh My God! That is so awesome!!! Thank you very much for posting these pictures. Where was this event? Was this the most F40's that have ever been in one place at the same time? Probably not but it sure seems like it. I count 27 F40s.

I guess it was Mugello. I'm sure Boxer will put me right
There should be a parade of 40 x F40's at Silverstone in June.

Wow, that it is very impressive. It would take a lot to beat that, except perhaps a collection of Enzo's.
It makes my cleaning and polishing the 328, and going to the garden centre with my wife in her 4WD seem very dull.

A number of the F40 owners also had Enzo's. Most perferred the former. General comment was that the F40 was a much more exciting car to drive. The Enzo is just a bit to perfect with too many computers/drivers aids.

Main event was in Mugello. Picture in the square was taken in Florence.

Don't know if this is the max F40 in one place but has to be close.

There were a few others that came and went at different times. I think the total was in the mid 30s.

The noise when they are all moving in convoy is unreal.

A couple of years ago Jeremy Clarkson was compairing modern supercars with their 80's equivalents, and he said the same thing. Although the Enzo was faster through the corners and around the track, it just didn't feel as exciting to drive as the F40.

The F40 always has been and always will be my favorite Ferrari, they look absolutely awesome, nothing else comes close. I've got a collection of 1/18 Ferrari models on my office windowsill and am looking at the f40 now.......maybe one day.

Boxer, I bet the sound was incredible! Glad to see photos so quickly.

I was waiting for someone to mention that episode of Top Gear. Here it is:

I like the way Clarkson says, "its like having a bunch of yes men."

Boxer,

That is so amazing…a chill ran down my spine when I looked at those pictures…

I have a question for you…what were you thinking when on the track with the others and on the road…how did it feel, what was going through your mind at that time…..

Couple of things:

1. How lucky I was to be there
2. That this was a unique event and getting this many F40's in one place at the same time probably will never happen again
3. What a great reception we got from the people on the route and in Florence, Italians really appreciate their Prancing Horses
4. On the track, how bad visibility to the right was.
5. Also on the track, don't push the limits, you have a long drive back.
6. Police escorts make driving spiritedly so much easier.
