Hi guys, I need your inputs on my purchase decision of an exhaust system. I have 98 355 F1 and I am thinking about getting an new exhaust system for my baby. I was recommended most of 'tubi' and actually sampled the soune from a guy who has 360 with it on it. but I understand it is louder but I am not quite sure if I like it much. I really like the sound of my stock system especially around rpm 3500-5000 that high pitch hawling sound (I am sure you all know what I mean). but I would like it more if that sound were louder without loosing its characteristics. help me with what you have heard about the 'tubi' system and whether I would be happy with it on it.

p.s. does each ferrari (ex. 355 vs. 360) has different exhaust sound?

I've been getting some secondhand inputs besides this forum about the tubi's. it is definitely louder and better in terms of getting noticed in public but it is still questionable whether the 'quantity' necessarily means quality. I personally think the stock sounds thinner and more beautiful like playing a stringed instrument like the violin. but the tubi...I don't know. I guess my initial question was whether that thin beautiful sound can be louder...
I'm still searching for more evidence for possibility. I kinda thought of what Bart is saying...hmmm...does factory challenge muffler is anygood then? By the way Bart, I know you had your beast back in the dealer for service have got her back already? And DJ Dirk I am very glad to see you in the reply section making local friends, but could you help me out with this tubi thing? Cause I know you hold Ph.D in the art of Ferrari^^

DJ Dirk...I have a little one in my engine bay. So...you seem to agree with me in the thought that tubi ain't that great on 360 cause that's what I tried and didn't like. but then you mentioned a 355 with a great sounding muffler. if it indeed had tubion it...it means the chances are tubi for 355 has a good chance having nicer (and distinctively different) sound than it was on 360. good news^^.

Bart...it seems your beast is facing an endless array of misfortune despite your overflowing love for it. I can't imagine the stress you stand everytime someone backs up and break your front bumper at a gas station or some death deserved moron harms your jewel with the key of his which opens the door of the miserable apartment of his. well, my car was keyed too a short while ago. and it happens time to time to my friends' cars in my town. so don't mind it and just get your car fixed. everytime you tell a story about your car having trouble, its funny how, if my recollection is correct, Bart, you, always so impressively joyous in getting your ferrari back...always seems to looking at the brighter side rather than feeling so consumed by thinking about the unhappy event in the past. I'll expect to see you agian somewhere in the forum shouting..."Yeah! my dealer says I can have my car back by next week!!" ^^.

p.s. I put on a photo of my car and bike in the garage section, take a look^^
