A mate of mine who owns his own specialist workshop has an 89 Testarossa. I just watched him over the last 2 weeks change the timing belt on it without taking the engine out. He was able to move the engine enough to allow room to put it on. Amazing to watch..
Oh and it took him the 2 weeks as he was working on the paying stuff and coming back to it when he got a chance. so in all just under 6 hours did it.
I remember when I had my Mondial 8, Hursts the main Ferrari dealer here told me it would take 8 hours to do it's belt change (as the engine had to come out) "rubbish I know" and the cost would be £1800 :eek: He made me do my own belt change (while he stood over me) and charged me £0. It really does pay to be in with someone who knows what he's at.
