Hello All,

I did a search of the forum, and can't believe that I didn't come up with dozens of threads regarding tire selection!

Anyway here's the deal in a nutshell...

My car is a 348tb SS Challenge, and I use the the original 17" rims on the street. Like most people, I'm looking for max wet / dry traction, and it would be awfully nice if they could go 15 - 20K. (The OE Bridgestone RE71's did!)

I have 18" Speedlines with slicks for the track, so it's unlikely that these tires will ever see track time.

Anyone out there got any advice?

THANKS!

J.

I've been happy with the Firestone Firehawks on my 308. They're smooth, quiet and they stick like glue. I've taken 90° corners onto sidestreets at 30mph and have never heard any of the tires squeal in complaint. They are reasonably priced also. Here's a link to the tire rack website with more info on the tire:

Actually, the tire rack website is great for comparing tires.
