Plans are coming together for a Rally to the Grand Canyon immediately following the Ferrari Club International Meet in Scottsdale Arizona.
The Plan for the International Ferrari Club meeting:
Wed Nov 6, 2019 - arrival and greeting party
Thu Nov 7 - Concours Day
Fri/Sat Nov 8 & 9 - Track day and local drives
Nov 9 - Special Awards dinner
Nov 10 departure

PROBLEM: The Nov 8-9 day drives have limited range for vintage Ferrari. For example, it will require 8 hours driving r/t to see the Grand Canyon, worst light of the day upon arrival, only driving on major Freeways, no back roads, No Route 66, No Sedona Red Rocks, etc.
Our FCA Guests from afar/overseas won't see all the beauty in our State

SOLUTION: Spend more time and do it right.
Arizona has beautiful scenery, a 3 day Rally on back roads has a perfect balance between scenery, driving and socializing. Our local FCA club drives these regularly and now we would like to share these with other International members.
Nothing is better than seeing a line of Ferraris running our back roads!

RALLY TO THE GRAND CANYON
Before trip, we want Concours cars to be comfortable on the road so are offering free Paint Protection Film install to the first 20 cars that Register/Pay in Full. Drive your car like it was meant to be and preserve the paint!

With the Ferrari International Meet Concourse, we wanted visiting Concours cars comfortable on back roads so have paired for Paint Protection Film Install.

PRIOR TO TRIP:
Nov 8-9, Xpel TrackWrap installed on Concours cars to protect paint before trip
(Please Note: Owners are responsible for signing up early for an appointment, we have 20 cars to complete and this will be the most time critical event of the whole trip, last install Sat 11/9 4:00PM)

RALLY DRIVES:
Sun Nov 10 Fun Starts!
Gather for greeting, driver's meeting and trip roll out. Depart the Sonoran Desert and rise into the Arizona mining country hills enjoying 3rd gear twisty roads to the Verde Valley wine country on to the Cowboy State's first Capitol, Prescott. Pass through the Prescott Valley towards Mogollon Rim and enter the stunning Red Rocks of Oak Creek Canyon into Sedona for our group cocktail hour and dinner.

Mon Nov 11
An easy day twisting through river carved canyons when we rise up to the vast expanse of the Colorado Plateau. We depart from the direct route to enjoy high desert Chaparral on roads which end at one of the most famous and picturesque scenes on the Colorado River; Horseshoe Bend,
Grand Canyon. From there we traverse the South Rim to our overnight stay at The Grand Canyon South Rim.

Tues Nov 12
Depart Grand Canyon

After several site searches, this event is in limbo due to weather, hold being placed. We may run this for the club at an earlier date, March/April or Sept/Oct

The lower parking garage is now full and we have 14 Dinos registered.

I returned to Sedona to sign contracts for renting the Amara Hotel's second and last garage unit for 12 cars. Like the Entrance level, this is a secure, private parking structure with 24/7 video camera coverage, roving guard and a few (I counted two) power outlets for battery tenders.
