Christmas day.......temps are mild...........I'm waiting for the wife to get ready so we can go to my In-law's house.........While I'm waiting........I peeled the cover off of the Ferrari and cranked 'er up. Oh Yeah, she fired. I let it run for a while and just listened to it. Last time I ran it was before Thanksgiving and then I went to work for 3 weeks. I came back and it has been go go go. I haven't had time to mess with it. But it started right up.

Remember last year when I tried to start it in December and it just would not go because of the weak ignition? She goes now! That Crane Fireball XR3000 ignition and Hi-output coils was money well spent.

It is raining now but if it stops I think I may take it out for a last little go tomorrow. I'll let you know how I make out.
I could actually go for a Ferrari ride and a snowmobile ride in the same day.

Cylinder count doesn't matter to me much. The first couple dozen cars I had all had American V8's. It was a kind of thing I had going where I was never going to have less than a V8. Now, I have 5 cars and every one of them is a 6 cyl except for the Ferrari. They are some pretty big 6 cyls though. The truck is 5.9 liters (Cummins), the Jeep is 4.2 liters, the Commando has a 3.9 liter Buick V6 (Kaiser didn't make engines, they bought them) and the Mercedes has a 3.0 liter diesel. Actually, I'm not sure I would want a 12 cyl, sure it would be cool but I like to work on them myself and from what I've read you pretty much have to take the engine out to do anything to it. One of my all time favorite Ferraris is the 246 Spider and that has a 6-cyl.

Yesterday the rain turned to snow and the roads were messy so I didn't take the Ferrari out. Today is much nicer so I will probably go and fill it with gas and take a quick little spin.

Alright!! I took it out and drove it around!! Took it down to the parts store to get some fuel stabilizer and then went and filled 'er up. Of course I had to put a few miles on 'er to make sure the entire fuel system had treated fuel in it. I sure got a lot of looks. I had one guy come up to me while I was putting gas in it and give me the ole "Hey, nice car!" bit. I told him "Thanks, I had to put my summer car up so I dragged this thing out of the barn for the winter." His eyebrows went up a few notches but he didn't have any reply.

Here's a quick snapshot I took in the driveway and before anyone says anything..........No. The door is not dented. The camera picked up an odd reflection of the house. After seeing this picture I had to go out and look at the car. The car side is straight as an arrow and smooth as a baby's bottom. I guess the wax job is just too good.

Ok, here is another picture to prove that the side of the car is not dented. The only problem with this picture is that you can see what is quickly becoming my used car lot in the background. This picture still has what seems like a little ripple on the door but the car is fine. I think the problem is my house.
