This is Ralph Lauren's collection (source : french magazine Automobiles Classiques). You can see some of these cars at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston (Mass.) until July 3rd 2005.
IMHO it isn't impressive that rock stars and the like can shell out big money to acquire essentially ANYTHING money can buy: that is expected of them! I think it is more relevant to focus on what Ferraris WE currently drive or those we dream about driving someday! 8)

I am with jung here. Most of the stars only buy for show, not for the passion. They could care less about driving it. And...before someone says something...I did say most. There are exceptions to that statement.
To clarify, I am not digging at those who can buy exotic cars with a credit card. I merely point out that they live at a higher eschelon than the rest of us. And passion or not, I don't see how knowing that Wayne Newton has 10 Rolls-Royces or that OJ just bought his 12th Lambo [new contract as spokesman for "Slice" cola!] can enrich one's life. We live in different worlds.
Not very surprising ! There is that great movie in which he had to steal 50 luxury cars in 24 hours ! There were some Ferraris (550, 355, Testarossa)...
Very funny when he visited the Ferrari dealer to prepare the robbery !
On MTV cribs they all seem to have the 360s and Maranellos (inevitably with chromed 20" wheels) but these cars certainly don't have the class of those owned by Lauren for example. Jay Kay (from Jamiroquai) who has a 550, Enzo, Miura etc. etc. in an interview said that he is selling his 360 (Octane magazine some time back). He explains that the image portrayed by a 360 has been tarnished by so many footballers owning them.
I think that what really irks some enthusists is that these stars are owners who buy the Ferrari simply for the image and have no more passion for the car than the next Cayenne (for example) that they will move onto.
Isn't this what a post is all about ? A simple question which generates a conversation amongst enthusiasts. Kimi has a valid question which will take forever to answer and I agree with Jungathart that money does not make an enthusiast - the real enthusiasts are the guys who can afford the cars and let true racers show us all what they can do. If you have ever seen a 250 TR hit by a 250 GT SWB, or a 250 GTO loose it sideways into a gravel trap, you'll know what I mean. The true Ferraris were built for racing not posing.
