Seeing that most Ferraris I have seen (308's and 328's) have their speedometer needle stuck on 5 mph, does it mean I am doing 35 mph when the needle is registering at 40? Seems like it...

Thanks,
Marc

Funny you should ask, there have been a few speedometer questions come up lately.
The other day I was driving by a remote speed control device thingy and it said I was doing 35mph, my speedo said 40.

Although Ferrari instruments are not noted for their accuracy the fact that the speedo and usually tach needles as well, stop at the lowest mark above zero is just a long standing tradition if you will and has no relationship to it's innaccuracy except accidental or coincidental in nature.

Okay, thanks for the replies guys. I think Pete answered it with what I expected. It really does not seem like I am doing 40 when the needle says so, so I'll assume that being stuck on 5 mph is a deduction of 5mph off of the actual registered speed.

Thanks,
Marc
