I also found Leonardo Fiorovanti, at least as head of the design team. The book stated it was a team design, led by Fiorovanti. I give up on this one

Since I want to post myself into the pit crew, I will go for level 4 in the trivia game, since I gave up on the F40 question  :

1) How many F50GT cars were made and how many were raced?
2) Which company produced the last non-Pininfarina designed Ferrari?
3) Which Ferrari was used in the TV series 'Miami Vice'?
4) What was the license plate on the Ferrari in TV series 'Magnum'?
5) How many starts did Mario Andretti make with a F1 Ferrari in the World Championship?

It is getting harder to create some nice questions! :green:

Ok, this question has stumped most of you. So here it is....

Fioravanti left Pinninfarina at the end of 1987, he then moved to Ferrari spa to become director of styling. Mr Ramaciotti replaced him in January 1988. But the man credited with the design of the F40 was Piero Camardella. he also penned the Mythos, 456gt,and the 512TR. This question was tough, but his name does appear in the Pinninfarina site.

My source: Classic Automobile Register (nov/dec 1997)p.72 paragraph 2.

2 Bertone...308gt4
3 Testarossa
4 robin1

Tifoso_Boy is getting close:

3 F50GT's were built

Indeed only one real Ferrari (that is why I asked for Ferrari not Ferraris!) was used in Miami Vice.

Actually, didn't know about the pilot plate of Magnum!

Andretti made 12 starts with Ferrari in a period from 1971-1982.
Pkay, only three in 1982, other were in 1971-1972.

I will try to think of some more while I will catch some sleep!

Just one for fun:

Name at least five coachbuilders that (officially) designed a Ferrari car. Should be an easy one for you experts :ex:

Just before going to sleep level 5:

1) Why was the Mondial 8 named that way?
2) Which Ferraris where used in the WC Rally?
3) On what car was the Pininfarina Mythos based?
4) How many 308 GT/M cars were built and how many were raced?
5) How many times did Ferrari win the Le Mans 24-hours?

Peter could stump us

Hummm.... I wonder where Peter is. I bet he could do level 10 trivia. That guy knows all the engine codes and will have us all scratching our heads in puzzlement. Ok I'll start another one I'm not sure this is a higher level.

1. What catalyst event happened on the internet in Nov of 2001 to allow Ferrari Owners and fans to talk Ferrari? :D

2. Which Ferrari road car has the largest production number ever (ie, the number made)

3. What does the O in 250 GTO stand for?

4. What U.S. car company led to the development of the P series (275/330 P, P2, P3 and P4, hint: around 1965)

5. Who at Pininfarina designed the 288 GTO, & how many were built.
