1. 208gtb turbo was especially produced to adapt to Italian engine litre laws. It was fitted with a kkk turbocharger and had 220hp , increased 254 in 1986. I should add that the 86' version looked like a 328.....

2.Nikki Lauda 15 wins and 2 WDC 75'and 77'

3. Scuderia Ferrari was formed in 1946, but we all know that the fifty anniversary is 1948

4. first road car 1948 166barchetta
first gran prix car 1946 125

5. Ferrari names most of their cars for cubic centimetres displacement
Of course this varies from model to model....

they can have engine capacity per cylinder (250gt)
engine capacity + # of cylinders (308)
engine capacity + # of valves (355)
anniversay or geographical (F40) or (360 Modena)
or now even after it's founding father (The Enzo)

So it's Lauda??

n°3 is wrong he says SCUDERIA Ferrari.
that means the racing team, not the marque
so that's in the end of the 1920th.

And Enzo produced cars before that, not unther his name, but for Alfa
#3 is confusing but what you're refering to is 1929(the societa anonima Scuderia Ferrari ) was formed...But Enzo stilled worked for Alfa...

I have an easy questions for you all....

What is considered to be the first Ferrari under the FIAT banner?

In what season/year was Mr Luca DiMontezemolo recruited to Ferrari racing director? (Not the presidency...mind you)

In what season/year did Mansell win on his maiden Ferrari drive, name that race?

Hmmm, not as easy for me as you might think! Since I don't want to check the books, but want to try it from memory I will go for the following answers, where I am only sure from question 3!

1) Might be the Daytona, but a Dino can be it as well.

2) It was in the Lauda era, so my guess will be 1974?

3) Brazil 1989

As I said, only one for sure :-?
All are correct....I try to do it from memory, but books are there for research.Ferraris history is complex...so dates/cars/drivers/races, and stories are easily forgotten..

Okay, I thought these ones are almost basic Ferrari knowledge:

1) What is the name of the private racetrack next to the factory?
2) What made the 1988 Italian GP so special for Ferrari?
3) Why were some cars badged with the Dino name?
4) How many children did Enzo Ferrari had?
5) Where do the letters GTB stand for?

Not to hard, right?

Niels
1. Fiorano
2. it was the year that the Mclarens dominated and the only race Ferrari won was the italian GP .But more importantly, Mr Ferrari had died on Aug14, while the race was held sept11....Berger won followed by Alboreto making it 1-2 FERRARI!!!
3. Purist will say that a ferrari without a v12 is a dino. But the dino was of coursed named for Enzo's son .......
4. Dino and Piero...maybe a daughter..not sure
5. Gran turismo Berlinetta

The f40 question is a little tough....but dig around and you'll get it.....

I also found Leonardo Fiorovanti, at least as head of the design team. The book stated it was a team design, led by Fiorovanti. I give up on this one

Ok, this question has stumped most of you. So here it is....

Fioravanti left Pinninfarina at the end of 1987, he then moved to Ferrari spa to become director of styling. Mr Ramaciotti replaced him in January 1988. But the man credited with the design of the F40 was Piero Camardella. he also penned the Mythos, 456gt,and the 512TR. This question was tough, but his name does appear in the Pinninfarina site.

My source: Classic Automobile Register (nov/dec 1997)p.72 paragraph 2.

Since I want to post myself into the pit crew, I will go for level 4 in the trivia game, since I gave up on the F40 question  :

1) How many F50GT cars were made and how many were raced?
2) Which company produced the last non-Pininfarina designed Ferrari?
3) Which Ferrari was used in the TV series 'Miami Vice'?
4) What was the license plate on the Ferrari in TV series 'Magnum'?
5) How many starts did Mario Andretti make with a F1 Ferrari in the World Championship?

It is getting harder to create some nice questions! :green:
1 The f50gt was never raced, and I think 3-6 were produced(but I'm not sure. The privaleged owners were told by the factory that they couldn't race them offically.
2 Bertone...308gt4
3 Testarossa
4 robin1
5 Not sure, although he joined the Scuderia in 71' and half of 72'?????MAybe 10 starts or 11.
