Hi, I hoping someone can enlighten me to the servicing requirements for a 456; are they a lot more than say for a 355 or 348? If one was to buy a 90's Ferrari which would one choose from the "easiest to run" point of view? Thanks.

I think the differences between the V12 and the V8s are too far apart for comparison. Between the 348 and the 355, the 355 is easier to live with. The 355 is a much sweeter car and a joy to own. The maintainance cost is the same so might as well live with something that's nice.

The 456 series 1, can be quite problematic. The window won't close properly and you'll be annoyed because ther is nothing that can be done. But if you can lay your hands on the 456M then plonk for that car. It's more expensive yes but all the problems of the original 456 has been solved with the M model.

Hope this helps.

I agree with Stradale. A 456 GT is a completely different car than either the F355 or 348. The 456 GT is a 2+2, 12 cylinder grand tourer. The others are 8 cylinder 2 seat sports machines as much at home on the track as on the open road. Servicing intervals for the 456 GT are more frequent and costly. Cost aside, you really need to first decide how you want to use the car and then starting looking at which models best fit that role.
