Russian Ferrari sales figures

I found this to be interesting. Now that Ferrari is in Russia they estimate 100+ will be sold in Russia in 2004. On the 20th of May Montezemolo launched the showroom on the Russian market and the opening of the Group’s (Ferrari/Maserati) first showroom in the country. It took place at the highly exclusive downtown Tretyakovskiy Proezd in front of a large group of dignitaries and members of the media.

i remember that there was an article abour Ferrari's in Russia in Forza about a year or 2 ago,
they where already showed there back in the early 90ths and they even had a dealer there, can't remember it fully but i'll look it up again
All of them will sell. The last Forbs Richest list had more Russians on it than ever before.
This all comes as news to me. Yes, Russia is growing slowly but surely due to their plethora of natural resources. Apparently, oil in Russia is quite plentiful and is most-likely making many magnates wealthy. I suppose one-hundred Ferraris selling is evident of the triumph of capitalism. Now, if we could only get Cuba on our side...
To hell with Cuba. I want to get China on our side. Even better is to get them to change to democracy in a peaceful transition. That would be huge.

Back on topic. I think it is great Russia can buy 100 Ferraris. Hopefully Russia will continue to be more open and free.

I still can't imagine a Ferrari there because my image is ICE 24/7 365 days a year.
Because everybody thinks that Ferrari did that Russian And Northern European Tour. Here are some pics of it. Prooves that Ferraris and Maserati's can be driven there.

Bob,

Your images just reinforce the fact that I can't believe those cars are there. What I mean by this isn't that I cannot believe Russians are buying them, but that the cars are being driven in such harsh weather. Thanks for sharing the photos.
But what do you got if a Russian sells his lada and buy's a Ferrari 360 modena :S

I don't know but i hope i don't find it out.
Love that last photo. That can't be good for the paint!
It's just paint on just a car. Enjoy it because it is made to be driven, not to worry about the paint.

Very easy to say when that isn't your car

It is a cool photo.
Russia and now China will be the emerging market for Ferrari Luca & Co will be opening the Shanghai showroom in mid-June. It will be a big event with owners allowed to drive at the new Shanghai track.

In fact the factory has taken back the franchise from Itlian Motors, Hong Kong that serves China and will be doing the sales and marketing themselves, with dealers being appointed throughout of China.
So up until now Ferrari's weren't allowed in these countries? Or was it just new ones not for sale there.
Back in those days before the states went on an economic revolution, owning those 'flashy' cars were "politically incorrect". Owners will not be able to answer where they got the money from. Can be very dangerous!!!

Only when you rub your hand across it.....................................
A thorough rinse and it's as good as new.

If there is salt mixed in with that sand then the body would be eaten and holes would develop fast if they don't wash it off quickly.
