Can anyone tell me what the running costs are for a year ride in a 355 without the financing and depreciation? For say 6.000 miles/10.000km
So gas, insurance, road tax, maintenance, tires, etc
Is it really inaffordable
Guess the answer can be radically different depending on:
- where you live
- how you drive your car (rather than how much)
If you can afford the car, you can afford the running costs.
Gas: I measured (not estimated) gas consumption for several thousand kms and got between 15 and 18l/100km
Tires: I managed to squeeze 14'000km of a set of S02's in spite of 2 track days, but they were really, really worn off. Watching your tire pressure is the best thing to do to limit costs here.
Oil consumption is almost null so cost is irrelevant.
Maintenance: yearly service is reasonable if your dealer is reasonable as well, I paid between CHF 1000 and CHF1300. Brakes, pads or goodies such as timing belt can radically change the amount.
Taxes, insurrance are all country or even region depedent.
