Thank you for the info-
Brian was a great help although the news is not so good.
Appearently, there are not to many shocks to fit the 412 do to the self-levelers. He got a price for me, about $1100 each shock and since there are 6 of these babies on my car....
Well you get the picture.
So of course the next question to the forum is:
H E L P !!!
any suggestions for alternatives to replacement? Does anybody out there have a 412 that they've done this work to? Any obscure shock companies wanting to test a product? How about on a 400?
I'm really sorry to hear this, where those for factory shocks? Did you check with a local dealer?
You could also contact a local mechanic I know here in the San Francisco bay area, but I'm not sure that will help you. Here is the number: 415-861-2223, ask for Sal and tell him Andrew of Ferrari Forum referred you. I believe he could get he part for you but at what price I'm not sure. Let me know how that works out.
