Hi guys,

I have just bought my first Ferrari (although some may argue that it is "only" a Dino). It's a dark blue and tan 1975 Dino 308 GT4.

Despite the crappy weather with loads of rain that we currently have, I am already adding some mileage to it, and I absolutely love it.

One question that I have at this moment: In the center tunnel, there is this neat cutout for a radio, completely pre-wired. The shop manuals also confirm the existence of this wiring. However, there are no loudspeakers to be found anywhere in the car. The shop manual doesn't give any clues here either.

Can anyone enlighten me where the speakers are supposed to go in a GT4? Sweet as the engine may sound, having some tunes available would be nice too!

Thanks!!

Thanks! And I might do just that.

I have already discovered one big downside of owning a Ferrari though: I got in my BMW 330 this evening and all of a sudden, it felt like a slug. As if someone had put pillows in the suspension, a spongue on my throttle and a huge stack of books underneath my seat to raise it to stratospheric heights. Oh, and that otherwise firm clutch now felt like it dropped to the floor with no resistance at all....

Yup, these Ferraris are positively different!

:D

Hans, welcome to the site and congrats on the Ferrari. Enjoy and let us know if there is anything we can do to help!
Thanks!

I think I'll browse the forum archives first, before asking away.

Incidentally, I found an overview pic of the electrical layout of the GT4 in the parts manual, showing the speakers in the doors, so I guess I know where to look now. My interior has been completely redone, but without speakers. I wonder if the wiring is still there...

And while I have the doors covers off, I'll check the window mechanisms too. I know that these are pathetically slow, but the passenger side one halted altogether today. Aiding by pushing the window up by hand is an option, but not my preference.

What's the word on these things? Refurbish or replace? By OE stuff or is there something better out there that will fit?

Thanks

Hans

Replace and when you replace there is a better way to upgrade. Pete04222 made a change on his I believe and how he does not have the problem.
