I have a V1 with remote display in all of my cars, easily worth the money in terms of tickets saved. I can site numerous personal examples where the combination of direction arrows, multiple bogey tracking and range have saved me tickets. Add in their upgrade service and general ease to deal with, it is a no brainer for anyone that spends time above the speed limit.

FWIW, radartest.com has a reputation for being funded by one of the radar detection companies. No idea if it is true but their results do not synch with numerous independent magazine tests. (Note - since all of the detectors companies advertise in the magazines, I would guess you could call them independent.)

To be clear, I am not knocking the Passport, just using personal experience to validate the V1s. Latest example was a Ferrari Club meeting last weekend. Passed an officer going the other way and the aroow showed he had his radar on. Sped up as he was moving out of range but still on radar. Going up the hill, the V1 reported another bogey in front. I slowed and there was another officer sitting in a parking lot. Money saved!

I have owned mine since they were first released...89 ish? I can't remember. One of the things that I really like about their service is that when new features have come out, they allow you to return the unit and have it upgraded to the latest spec for a small fee.
