Focus at such short distance is VERY difficult, aspecially with a simple camera without manual focus. But even with manual focus, you are so close, the diafragma should be very narrow to get some field of depth, but then you get longer shutter speeds=movement. Really difficult. Lots of practice. More distance would be better, but then you get a different shot. *edit* after I saw your EXIF info I saw you had F3.2 and a shutter speed of 1/1000. You could have tried a lerger F number and slower shutter speed*edit*
I tried something with the following pic, but I was stupid since I put the camera on F2.8, a little to small, so not enough depth of field. But it would be cool if it was perfect:
and you were much closer to the object, so that's even harder.
