Today I ordered my 360 Challenge Stradale. I have to wait two years because of the waiting list, but I am sure it will be worth it  I of course ordered it in red :D Now all I have to do is find a way to wait calmly for two years :-?

Congratulations on a fine choice of car. What a shame you have to wait so long to get your hands on it.

Maybe you should hire yourself something nice from time to time between then and now.

Welcome to the forum too :D

Justyn.
IMPOSSIBLE!! :(
Do you like to hurt yourself
Think only of the things that could happen in those two years
Buy one right now, to learn what ferrari is all about and sell it over two year to your dealer
Ebrink
not possible, first the Stradale is at the moment not road legal in the US, so you have to wait longer, and then because a lot of people changed (or will change) their order from a Modena to a Stradale and i can't really blame them.
it is worth the extra €40.000
The reason I have to wait for two years at the most is because the dealership I am buying it from has a wait list, I am number four. The dealership only gets two a year, therefore I will get mine in at most two years, unless of course someone drops off the list in front of me then I get it sooner :green: And it is road legal in the US, the dealership has submitted their first order already.

edit: also, it is my understanding that if someone who is currently waiting for a modena were to change their order to a stradale they would be put on the list BEHIND me, not in front of me. So no matter what I will have mine in at most two years.
Awesome. Be sure to stay with us during those two years. It will certainly teach you a thing or two about patients.
Congrats, all that matters in the end is that you're happy of your purchase and can look forward to it.

Not sure though why most people who have 360's on order would pay 30 or 40K€ more to get a Stradale. Based on what I could read from the press, the car makes sense only as a track car. Clearance and suspension set-up were deemed (by the journalists) a bit inadequate for real world road usage.

Did anybody have the chance to drive this thing ?
I'm wondering, is it cheaper if you get it in Europe, like BMW? Perhaps in a shorter time? I think I'd get a used Modena, as I wouldn't like to wait that long.

well if you buy one in Europe, i know that it costs € 40.000 more then a modena, then you have the problem that it needs to be imported and the problem that it isn't a US model
Did you order the stripe down the middle?

Seriously cool and a must for all Stradales so that they are unmistakable.

You do know that that is a $3000 option

I am not a huge fan of stripes on cars; except on original Ford Cobra's and Dodge Vipers.
Other than those two, I don't like stripes. Just my opinion. :)

And, I thought the Stradales were to have a "Stradale" badge on the rear grill. Since that is all anyone will see of one on the road, that would be the most unmistakeable part. :p
Red360F1, I assume you currently own a red 360 F1 then. I have a red F1 one as well. :D

I put my deposit for a Stradale last June and I am expecting mine sometime in March 2004. I haven't totally specced the car yet. I'll have the electric windows and rollover bar but I have not decided whether to have it in Rosso Corsa or Rosso Scuderia or whether I want leather or cloth and what interior colour combination.

The Stradale was launched at Sepang on August 23rd and the factory brought one Grecio Alloy with Burgundy leather interior and another in Rosso Scuderia with red/black cloth interior and stripes. The stripes really brought out the car. I am going to have it.

I had taken for a ride around Sepang by one of the two Ferrari Pilota instructors that was specially flown in for the launch. The car is really superb. The sound is incredible and the brakes is just out of this world. It will literally throw you out of the windscreen at the end of the long straight. I am really excited about the car.

Red, have you specced your car yet ? Just curious.
See less See more
I have not specced my car yet, I am sure I have plenty of time to do it. I will not get the stripe though, and it will of course be red. And I do not yet have a ferrrari, the stradale will be my first in what I hope grows to be a collection of classic feraris over the years.
Just had a fun weekend with several Stradale's on the track and all the owners really pushed the car, that car just fly's and the sound is amazing
But here comes the bad news
i was talking to an american stradale owner who lives in france
and he said that because of the strict laws in the US the car will be very different, it will have less HP and defenitly not the same sound, he didn't find it worth it of getting one in the US
has anybody heard more about this already?

Wow Red, you're jumping into the deep end. But I admire your decision. The Stradale will be a collectors' car, I think.
Stradale
it's not gonna be a collectors car but a drivers car
their are already several delivered in france and monaco and the owners use them very good, they love them on the track

Well not to be a smart ass but all Ferraris are a collectors car. What is the planned production number of this? You say lots in France? :green: :ugh:
