I visited their website (www.cmc-modelcars.de) but saw nothing mentioned about it.

In another website - can't remember the name, but they sell die-casts, including CMC - and they say its an "expected/coming soon" model. Now, at the official CMC site, there is a section for "expected/coming soon", but it isn't ready yet... I suppose if give it time, it may be up, but until then, can anybody confirm or know any info about this?

Exoto here in the US had been touting this model for future delivery, but I noticed that it is missing from the current catalog. I did see however that they will have a 1/18th scale model of the 1961 156 F1 Shark nose and the '52/'53 500 F2. Got both on future order!!!

You know, now that you mention that, I may have mistaken them for CMC. In any case, there are two automobilia stores here in Vancouver that carry Exoto, so I'm aware of their awesome quality/detail. In fact, at one of the stores, they have the 1/10th Ford GT40... INCREDIBLE!!! I'd love to have it except: a) I don't have room for such a big model, b) it's also a few thousand dollars! I could buy lots of parts for the Ferrari for that money! It's still on my wish list though...

yes the Exoto 1/10 are amazing, but are less then $1000 (or around)

if you want a better deal then check out the GMP 1/12 GT40's
i have one of those, and i can promise you, you will drool on them

That amount maybe U.S. dollars you are quoting. The store that had that model was asking (according to my memory) over $2000 Canadian for it.

Yeah, exoos comming models are impressive. I really can't wait. But knowing Exoto, it'll take some time until we actually see these cars in production.

I know what you mean. I've had several Exoto models on back order for over 3 years! Seems they put them in their catalog before all the agreements are made with the cars mfg., sponsors, etc. Anyway, when they come thru the results are worth the wait. I can only hope they release their 250 GTO soon.

Yep. I've got the GTO on pre order. I dunno how long it's going to take, but I don't expect it for this year...as you said, we should all know how long they take with development, transferring the ideas from the catalog to actual production.
