I just got two new Hot Wheels models, which were apparently just released over here. The 612 Scaglietti and the 360CS. The 360 CS is Awesome! It even comes in Rossa Scuderia! The 612 on the other hand looks a bit elongated...too much actually but heck i just had to get them both. :p Will post pics of both soon.

I will be picking both of those up very soon; along with the 166 MM and the Maserati Quattroporte.
From what I have seen and heard so far, all four are real nice.

Can't wait to see your pics!

Sounds good.

That 612 is actually quite long. I was suprised when I first saw it this weekend. That thing is absolutley HUGE.

I've seen pics of the Stradale, and I'm really not satisfied with it. It doesn't seem as if they squared out the sides like on the actual car and they left the original ones from the Modena. ANd just the painted black grille is sort of...eh, well, it's like the same as on the 360 spider with Carrozeria options.

Yeah, Adlin, I'd like to see your pictures of the Stradale. From all the pictures I've seen of the car, it's not impressing me and shouting "buy it!" I would also like to know of the actually did square out the side panels where the intakes are or not. Thanks!

You know, I like the Hot Wheels models. They are very reasonably priced for the quality you get. I know they are not the same quality as the higher end model but I think they are a good value.

I've got a 1:18 550 Barchetta Pininfarina (in red) sitting on top of my printer, my wife bought it for me for under $20, and I find myself looking at it often and thinking how cool it would be to drive that car. I think that is the whole point of models and Hot Wheels does the job for me.

The model of the 550 actually makes me envious of Bart and his Beast  . Although I believe his is a silver hardtop and I think the 550 is cooler as a red convertible.

Ah, nice pictures. Although I have to say the front "grilles" on the stradale could be better, but I guess it's good. i need to stop nitpicking. It's a good deal for ~$25.

Wondering, for anyone who has the Stradale, did Mattel make the stripe painted on or a decal? :-?

The stripe is a decal, that's the only negative thing of the car (in my opinion). But you only see this when you're very close to the car.

This model was a Modena with the seats painted red, the wheels changed and the stripes added.

The instrument panel is that of the 360 and not the Stradale. The radio is of the 360. The centre console is of the 360 and the door step-strip is 360's as well. The exhaust and the wing mirror too are of the 360.

But the front bumper and the glass rear are that of the Stradale. That's good. Overall it's a good effort because on first glance and if you don't know the details of the Stradale, this will certainly pass off as one.

Ah, thanks, basman. ;)

Thanks for the review of the model, Stradale! ;) I guess I might pick it up if I run across it, but I don't think I'm going to go out of my way to get it.

I think Mattel could have probalby used a more semi-gloss red or even flat red for the dash/seats it seems from basman's pics of the car.

I think I'm going to end up buying a transkit for the Tamiya 360 and creating my own Stradale. Sounds like a good summer project.
