Guys,

baddd news.....only got this car for less then couple weeks!!! My car's engine stalledl tdy.....just drove for 10mins and the ASR sign alert on the dash with the handbrake sign as well the F-1 gearbox sign.

try to restart the engine after 10mins but cant......the ASR and F-1 gearbox sign was still on.

now the car is towed back to the ferrari workshop and i would like anyone here give me some advise for wut had happened? is the clutch system worn out and it need a new replacment?

We can't say unless we have the same type of problem. I never did. perhaps it's the clutch that has worn out. The 1999 car should have had a cam belt change. Normally a good owner would change the clutch as well. Did you check whether this was done to your car before you bought it.

they will inform me about the problem tomorrow and i will ask for the factory record when the previous owner change his cam belt and the clutch.

ferrari workshop replied

the techincian told me the idle is running low and they are checking the computer now. The car can start after it towed back to workshop......so they assume it's not the problem on the clutch nor the cam belt. The cam belt will replace a new one on 2005 June.

Keep us updated, I'd like to know what the problem ends up being. Hope it is all sorted out soon. I'm sorry your first few weeks of Ferrari ownership haven't been behind the wheel as much as you'd like.

Hi guys,

Just go replied from the ferrari workshop sayin my car was cause by relay problem. They said they've change a set of relay for me and it shouldnt have the problem again. but does the relay will affect the ASR and F1 gear box signs appears on the dash?
