Well, it's been a while since I've posted, but for good reason. As many of you know I started a journey back in 2012 of wanting to become a technician and eventually work my way up to a Ferrari. For nearly 4 years, I've worked at a local shop that gave a 14 year old the opportunity to work on cars day in and day out.

Fast forward two years, I started my running start college career (program in Washington that allows juniors and seniors in HS to take college classes) in automotive technology. Since then, I've gained a vast knowledge of how cars operate on a deeper level. Thanks to you guys for encouraging me to visit Ferrari of Seattle back in 2013, I kept in touch for quite some time until Mark Glenwood left.

This relationship proved to be instrumental in the process that's been happening over the last month. While updating my LinkedIn account, I saw FoS was hiring. Meeting most of the requirements, I applied online. The next morning, I had an email back asking me to answer some questions and an invitation for an interview. Now, a month later, after the dealership fisnished processing their decision, I received a call Friday, June 2nd asking if I would come on board at FoS. It's a dream come true. And the best part, the dream has just begun! If you would've told me when I was 13, I'd be graduating HS with both my diploma and my applied science degree and working for Ferrari, I would've called you crazy!

I truly thank everyone here who gave a 13 year-old the time of day over the internet on a forum to inspire me to take that first step! I'll be moving up to Seattle in two weeks and have a target start date of June 19th. Thank you all once again! I will be attempting to be more active here.

Thanks everyone.

I've got my first week under my belt. Lots of learning and reading to complete! So far, my brain is pretty fried! However, I seem to be catching on quickly to our DMS and diagnostic equipment. I'll keep you all updated...

I dropped by FoS today to talk to the parts department, and low and behold who should be doing an oil change but Cutter.
He's traded in his shorts and t-shirt for a proper FoS uniform.
He looked so sharp he could have marched in a military parade.
Even with those neon sneakers....

He must have made quite an impression - the receptionist got quite giddy when I asked for him. :wink4:

It was a pleasure to meet you Cutter. Best of luck!

David, thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I didn't seem to be rushing. I wish we would've been able to chat more! I truly felt blessed when I realized who you were and that you took time to say hi to a kid who you met over the internet. It really goes to show the people here are not only enthusiasts but friends!

Cutter, No worries, next time I'll come by at lunch time and we'll go over to Poquitos or Rancho Bravo and have some tacos.

Yeah, that's impressive to already have a future plan when being only 13. I myself woke up around 21-22 years old when finishing college, dumped and went my own way which was profitable for me. My buddy that now works at DSRLeasing stayed at college and he is doing really good as well, probably better but he had dad to set him up for life. Nice story ;)
