I recently picked up the 512 BB from the Specialist Garage which has been servicing it for the last several years (highly recommended). This was a major service as the cambelts needed changing, which is an engine out job on the Boxers. Took care of a number of other small things while we aere at it as well. It is running absolutely fantastically again. Carbs sound wonderful, acceleration is terrific, and it starts right up with a minimum of drama. Only downer is that it will not get much use until the weather improves. What a great car. :D

When I saw the topic I was expecting some inside story that Ferrari was going to re-introduce the Boxer in their next V12 mid-engine

Glad to hear you got your car back and everything is in working order. It won't be long before you can get behind the wheel of the car as spring is fast approaching.

Per your comment, I just changed the title.

However building on your idea, it would be great to see Ferrari come out with a limit run 3 seat, mid engine, super car. :D
You are all about the 3 seats all of a sudden. Did you recently drive a McLaren and you are holding out on us? :green:

Here are two articles, one about the birth of the Boxer 8) , the other about the death

The Boxer is Born

Last Stage of Evolution

Both great reads.

Thanks. I enjoyed both articles.

Have to say no on the McLaren but if anyone is offering a drive I would be happy to go. And yes I do have 3 seater on the brain these days for some reason.

Regarding the "death", we Boxerites prefer - "retirement"
