I'm curious to know what events are must sees for the die hard Ferrari nuts. Two I've been to that are must:

1. Ferrari Brunch (Japan)
2. Pebble Beach (USA)

In your post explain why.

1. Largest event in Japan with many rare cars, often a large crowd of super exotics (7 Enzos, 6 F50s, 288GTO, 10 F40s). Many of the cars have been tuned by Japanese tuners not covered in Western media.

2. A great show for the classics and some very rare cars in a beautiful setting.

I'd have to add the Cavallino Classic in Palm Beach. I have been to the past two and they were great. The best part is the first couple days at Moroso Motorsports Park. You can see almost every type of Ferrari at high speed, like they were meant to be. Even past race cars. I belive there were at least 2 333SP's last year. The concorso on the weekend is nice, but I am finding it harder and harder to take interest in stock, Ferrari show cars. They seem to lack character, and become very sterile.

Brent, I have to kinda agree that after seeing so many 360s or whatnot in one place, they get kinda (I daresay) monotnous. I mean it's great when you see one outside of that setting, but there, a car really has to be special to grab your attention.

I think going to a Ferrari/Maserati historic challenge race is worth a trip. Get to see some great old machinery actually running! It's great to hear those classic V12s out on the track.

Top events I've been too:

1: Cavallino Classic, Florida. Very relaxed event, plenty of nice cars, nice sub-events (2 days at the track incl Shell Historic, a tour, 2 concours and several classy parties). Great people over there, including the hosts (John and Alicia Barnes of Cavallino Magazine). My favorite event!

2: F1 Historic Grand Prix and modern F1 in Monaco: first weekend with great races with old F1s, then the next weekend the nicest modern F1 race of the season. Great to see modern sports cars driving around in Monaco (>250 Ferraris seen during those days!). And Riviera is always nice, especially the city Nice.

3: Mille Miglia, Italy. Nice classic cars, crazy people over there. Good to combine with a visit to Maranello.

4: Uwe Meissner's / Modena Motorsport Ferrari meeting, Nurburgring, Germany. Always with 20+ Ferrari F1 cars. A very nice, small event. This year on July 21, 22 and 23.

5: Pebble Beach, California. BIG with lots of Ferraris. Super concours at Pebble Beach (too crowded though), nice other events like Concorso Italiano and racing at Moroso. However, sometimes a bit too large and a bit too much ...

6: Ferrari Racing Days, Germany. Just lots and lots and lots of Ferraris.

Pictures of most of these events can be seen on my own webpage:

Top events which are still on my list:

1: Ferrari Brunch Meeting, Japan. Just two weeks to go, and then I will be there!!!!! :p :D :green: 8)

2: FOC UK National Concours. Will try to go there this year (July 3rd). Nice to combine with some days in London or so.

After being there this weekend, I would add the Concours d'Elegance Villa d'Este near Lake Como in Italy. Beautiful atmosphere and great cars!

The Schlumpf collection in Mulhouse, France is a must-see. Not for Ferraris (although several fifties F1 cars and a 250 LM are not cars to walk by) but the scenery and Bugatti collection is just unbelievable!

Maranello on any day of the year. With the Galleria, Tony auto, the factory, Fiorano etc..

Pics on all of the above to follow as soon as I recieve the CDs with my pics (stored them on the HD of a friend's computer)!
