so now that i'm back home, feeling a bit more relaxed again and have gone thru the pics a bit, now it's time to talk a bit
first who on earth was all there?? i met so many people there that i don't know who was who

what where all your guys impressions

anyway time to start about my nutty time there, on friday i arrived at a friends house in Victoria BC Canada, so friday evening we ofcourse went to a party, after not many sleep we had a house party at his place saterday evening, and yes we did got shut down by the cops at 4 am :green: but we still had some fun till around 7-8 in the morning ofcourse, so at 6 pm that day we started off our drive towards San Fransisco, so 22 hours later we arrived there
so we still hadn't really slept much in the last 4 days.
after a very needed night rest we drove towards monterey tuesday afternoon, yes we did woke up very late, so didn't had much time to visit SF unfortunually
so after some very good sushi on tuesday evening in downtown monterey
we started working wensday morning
and some small results will follow down here, and hopefully some from the other members aswell

so here's my wensday morning, we where at the field around 7 am

first up a 275 GTB/4 wich belonged to Omar Shariff at the BlackHawk collection
also present there was a 1st series 500 Mondial PF

after that we paid a visit to the Christies auction
where we among some very other intersting stuff saw this gorgeous Ferrari 275 GTB/6C
and that's its original colour, just stunning

then in the evening we went to the Monterey Jet Center Party
wich had an amazing line-up of cars and some very good food & drinks
among the cars present was the gorgeous Grigio Titanio Enzo, note the GTO in the back
ofcourse there where also some planes present

ahum

that was day 1
one of the more relaxed days  :green:
so on thursday

we arrived at the polo fields at 6:30 am where they park all the trucks for Pebble Beach, on that day they unload about 3/4 of the entered cars from the trucks and the cars go on a 17 mile drive
man those trucks where huge, 4-6 cars per truck
so the biggest part of the morning was filled with watching them getting unloaded, cleaned and ready for the start at 9, we took of then to wait on them next to sea to get some fun shots of the cars driving
after that we paid a visit to the David Gooding auction wich had some very interesting cars present of wich a 250 MM Spyder, a very cool Bizzarrini and the coolest Duesenberg of them all the famous SJ Speedster Mormon Meteor
and then
it was time
the first trip towards Laguna Seca :D
and what did we do there?
the coolest thing you can ever do, a photo shoot with around 70 classic racing ferrari's, including 22 250 GTO's :green:
and afterwards we had a great dinnerparty at the track again, life can be so good

Ah, awesome pictures, Dirk! I knew you'd come through. Can't wait to see the rest of the week from you!
beautifull pics!! I wish I was there too!
it's great to see all those 250 GTO's in a row...
that blue 275 GTB is a very great car with a amazing nice colour indeed!
Very cool photos, now we need to get these in the Registry. I think we are reaching the 3,000 mark for photos not in the forum. I need to badly update the gallery.

tell me about it, the only reason why i'm looking forward to the winter period is so that i can spend some time at making a "few" gallery's  :green:

Dirk,

It was good meeting you during the events and glad we had a chance to have lunch at the FCA concours. Whare are the rest of the pictures? Can you categorize them by event in a website where we can go and look.

Cheers,
Matt
hey Matt
it was great to meet you also, i know i still have to mail certain pics to you
and wel about the event feature's
during the winter they will also be online here, i'm just running out of time at the moment, so i'm just waiting till the racing winter stop wich is in about 6 weeks or so

friday then
we kinda overslept and only got to Concorso Italiano around 8 or something
now there was an insanelly amount of Ferrari's, and somehow i couldn't convince myself to stay to long there, i was going crazy from the big crowd, altough i did see several interesting cars and they weren't ferrari's, yes yes don't worry i did see several ferrari's that i wanted :green:
oh yes, and after a long time waiting, andrew finally decided to show up
so the we took a good trip towards The Quail, a Motorsport Gathering
and there i started drooling again, a nice bunch of GTO's on the lawn that where visiting the the event :D
but on the main lawn of the Quail there was a very nice & BIG field with classic Ferrari's
including to name a few: 625LM, 250 TR, 275 Nart Spyder, 250 LWB Caly Spyder, 250 TDF, 250 Lusso, Enzo, 375 MM
also besides the Qual was the Bonhams auction, so stopped by there very briefly and they, ofcourse had a few ferrari's present with the top ferrari beeing a 1952-54 2.5 Litre Tipo 500
and then, it was back to the track, i know i know, i can't help myself, i'm addicted to tracks
so saw some of the last testdrives of wich included a 330 P, 3 512 M's, 512 S & Daytona
and the round up the day we stopped by the RM Auction
wich had a staggering 16 Ferrari's on the list
including the 166 Abarth, 225 S & 212 Inter Vignale
