Hi Mick,

I am just curious as to your first impressions with the "3.2" and if possible, any comparisons to other Ferraris you could provide. Beautiful piece. Thank you for sharing. 8)

:p Dana,To answer your questions,1 I have only driven a 308 gts and the 308gtsi ,besides the sound prefrence of the gts, I thought it was for lack of a better word primative..The gtsi a lot better ,a little slower, speed is not my #1 factor. When I got into the cabriolet, after driveing it for maybe 1 mile the decision had been made.with no roof it sounds great, much more room up front, and when our baby is born in July he or she will fit in the back. I looked at other colours as red is common but to me when you think Ferrari you also think red. :eek:ha:

Mick,

Thank you for the response. I, too, just loved the sounds of my GTB. Once I drove the Mondial and experienced it's cornering, visibility and comfort, I was hooked. Yes, the FI does take from overall BHP but I did find the low-end torque and user-friendly nature of the car to sufficiently make up for that deficiency. I do love the 308's. I still think that line is one of the sexiest ever to come from Maranello. There is no mistaking a 308/328 as a Ferrari whereas the "cab-forward" design of the Mondial leaves those non-Tifoso(i) guessing as to the marques of the car. I did love the blue of my 308 but I found myself joking, "well, I guess one does have to have a "red" Ferrari in their lifetime(!)."

Pete,

Your 308 is still one of the prettiest I have seen. However, you obviously have Mick fooled. He's labeling you as a true "gentleman?" Ha Ha! :D
Hope you are well buddy.

Dane,
When Mick said "Gentleman" I am pretty sure he was refering to our friend from the Great White North. Surely, he could not have meant me!

Couldn't have been me either, since although this is the North, it ain't white in my end of the country...

(I feel real sorry for your guys on the East Coast with the recent snow storms. Being originally from Montreal, I remember that stuff and was one of the reasons why I moved to the wet - but warm - West Coast...)

Peter,

The snow in my parking lot here at the office has been plowed into 6 foot mounds! In 1996 we had a similar snowfall and those mounds of snow did not melt completely until late April.
