This was an amazing opportunity to hook up a few GoPro cameras, as well as a mic right next to the exhaust of the Ferrari 312PB at Road America. The sound is just mesmerizing. So grab a beer, sit back, and enjoy the ride!

What's up with all the shifting each time the car approaches the crest such as 7:12? Can't tell if it's up shifting or down but something sounds very wrong...

Sounds like he's missing a lot of shifts and/or getting his gear selection wrong. He seems to be not familiar with the track, the car, having to work a clutch & a manual shifter, or all the above.

Possibly a youngish 21st century driver trying to figure out a 20th century car?

Definitely an unsure driver. Alain de Cadenet does a better job of it in his DVD. Also, this car runs pretty bad at idle. The Sieger car ran much better when I saw it at Spa. But great to see and hear a car like this, doesn't happen often enough. Thanks for the great images and sound track.

Tip for next time: don't pan to a P1 when you have a PB in your shot!

The owner told me that they were having gearbox linkage problems. He said the biggest problem was that he would get second gear when going for fourth!

What is that car worth? I did a search and came up with $800K - $1.6M. before I did the search I was ready to try and buy one - not anymore
