luckelly i already get to see the car in the FIA-GT :p

but i do hope that the car is allowed, altough it will be a killer for the competition.

note in the text: In the end however, it appears that a compromise will be reached that will allow the current version of the Maserati to run in the ALMS until to June, when a second revised variant, meeting the criteria demanded by Le Mans will be completed.

That still means that the Maserati can not compete at Le Mans in 2005
because the prelimaneries are in may
and since the car can't competete there it can't enter the race, and you also need an invitation to come & test in may, and they won't get that one either

Charles

hopefully it will be then

andrew
read it again, at the moment it's only legal to drive half the season, because in june they have to show an improved model, again, and if that one is acceped then that version can finish the rest of the season and compete at Le Mans in 2006

Waw

The Returnic Of FERRARI in LeMans 24 Hours is The Greatest News that I heard for this year !!!! Until '60's Dominations in LeMans, Ferrari didn't win, even if it will be a Maserati, that means that if the ride will be successfull, they can enter later with an Ferrari. I hope I'm right...

YO

I think U know what I mean.... I mean Ferrari is returning in REAL LEMANS: in GT1 category. And second: Maserati MC12 is based on Ferrari Enzo. Of corse in LeMans everything is different than in an street car, but the heart remain the same: an Ferrari builded engine, based on V12 6000cc 690hp from Enzo, deforced to V12 6000cc 630hp and tuned for an Xtra long and fast circuit like LeMans. (I do really wanna know how many hp has an LeMans Maserati MC12?). Maserati brend is like Bugatti brend: it is real only by name. Everything in Maserati is based on Ferrari's Xperience, and only a real Maserati fan will trust and will hope that Maserati and Ferrari are two different things... But this is the price of surviving... (Bugatti isn't an Bugatti, it is an Volkswagen or/and Audi with Bugatti design and historu, nothing else).

I hope one day I'll see on the first step of the podium a driver in red which was racing on a Ferrari (It can be F50 based or Enzo based or something racebuilded). This will be the day named "The Return Of The King (Queen)" like in Lord Of The Rings...

I new U will understand me. Of course U R totally right!!!! I give up!!!!
Maserati isn't a Ferrari !!!! (I changed my oppinion after I saw the car for 2005 season: it is so fast that FIA consideret not to omologate it in LeMans for this year).

And I want to say that I am dreaming of Ferrari's returning in LeMans in LMP series (not in GT1 like I said last time. My mistake).

I am amaized by Ur ideas because I think the same!
PS Maybe it is just an idea, but I think Ferrari will return in LMP, because I heared that Luca de Montezemolo has some ideas due to Ferrari's future and the Maserati ones (And I also heared about Alfa Romeo's big sport returning...) Can somebody confirm this, I really wanna know...

ferrari doesn't have any special plans to return in LMP class to Le Mans as a factory team
why??
as long as Schumi is in the F1 and they are still winning, it just won't happen.
they have to pay schumi too much, and well as long as they have a change all the money will keep going to F1 and future development

It's a pitty... but this is life. I understand. FIAT is in way to fail, and every euro count there. An LMP prototype will cost too much.

Now a question> Why Ferrari went in GT with 550Maranello but not with F50 or Enzo? And why they are not building this cars by themselvs but Prodrive do it? :(

They were going to go in with an F50...but that fell through and never happened.

Ferrari spend/concentrate all of their time and money on the F1 project, leaving little/nothing for a sportcar pursuit.

Just when I was getting my hopes up about getting to see the MC12 this year...hopefully the second version is not too altered.

I wish they equalize their thoughts and concentration on both. :-?

I trully love SuperSportsCars like F50, for me they R more pretty than F1 bolids, and thats why I wanna see an F50 in LeMans or an Ferrari LMP serries.... The Ferrari F50 GT for me is the top the most beautifull .... I hope they will return one day in resistents races with an non serial Ferrari like they did with Maserati...
