I too am glad to see a 1:18 Lusso.

And personally, I am getting tired of people saying Hot Wheels/Mattel produts are not good. For God's sake people, they are about $20 U.S.D.! If I paid $200 then I would be pissed about it, but it's $20! They are NOT Exoto...they are NOT AutoArt...they are NOT Kyosho (Though I just recently found out Kyosho has a deal with Mattel to do 1:18 Ferrari's)...they are NOT Posher.

They are an extremely good model for $20. Period. Why do peolpe keep comparing them to other, far more expensive models?!?! And, does anyone think Ferrari would let a product be produced with their logo that does not meet their standards? Mattel must be doing a good job - making these models - in Ferrari's eyes for them to keep the licensing deal with Mattel.

Sorry for my rant but I had to get that off my chest.

My point is since Ferrari did its deal with Hot Wheels it is no longer possible to get high quality models of the worlds greatest auto. In this respect Ferrari sold out (volue at low price) contrary to their position as a auto maker. I don't care that they only cost $20. I would pay much more for a high quality Lusso, but as long as Hot Wheel has their agreement with Ferrari no body else can make it.

their standard??
a LOT of money, they just offered the biggest deal

i compare them with those other models since i care less about the price but i find the quality the most important factor
i rather pay €200 instead of €30 for a high quality model instead of a toy

Please do not get me wrong on this...I myself would be willing to pay more for a higher quality, more detailed model as well. However, being as it stands right now, Mattel and Kyosho are the available, new, 1:18's coming out. There has also been an onslaught of new models not previously availabe as well - such as the Lusso - through the current agreement, but it seems most only complain about the quality. Once the Mattel/Ferrari deal expires, I am sure other companies will step in and produce more.

I agree with Spyder. A lot of people belly-ache that Hotwheels/Mattel models are not quality product but they make the models at affordable prices. I won't complain. If I don't like them, I'll look for something better and pay fo it. But they do make affordable models, that's the point.

Ferrari used to have a deal with Bburago and IMHO the Hotwheels miniatures look a lot better.
And what do you mean by 'I can't get high quality models' ...ever seen BBR (no 1:18...but real quality  )...
