Hi, I'm new to the forum.
I now own an BMW E46 M3 and I am looking to buy my first Ferrari (for a second car).

I believe that I have narrowed down my choice to an early 90's 348.
What are some of the things that i should look for once I get heavy into the buying process? What are common problems and issues with these cars.

Also, what are some of the pros and cons of these cars or any of the modern Ferrari's? You have to forgive my ignorance, I am new to Ferrari's and have always been more of a BMW guy. Thanks.

Welcome. The most important thing to do when buying any pre-owned Ferrari is a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) by a reputable mechanic. A mechanic will find things you won't. The 348 had some electrical problems but if the previous owner sorted them out you'll be good. I would check the library articles here for a few other tips: http://www.ferrarilife.com/tech/

The 348 Buyer's guide is also a great place to start.

I hope you are able to find your first Ferrari!

I tried sitting in one and simply did not fit!!!

No such problems in my GT4....
