Dirk,
unable to make it for a 3-day trip.(the wife would be all to happy to kill me in a very slow and painfull way because I left her alone with the 5 little munsters do drive her crazy during the holidays).A single day trip would be possible, even if it would be needed to leave at 0.00 H at night.

yes well, i MIGHT have to cut back on 1 day, since my dayjob is giving me hard time on getting that day off, at the moment they can't say for certain since it's a bit busy at work
so most likelly i will be driving off around 2 in the saterday morning, Le Mans is about 5.5 hours driving.
you are welcome to go along with me & kevin, altough we are only returning sunday evening/night (sunday evening = traffic around paris = HELL  )
and i believe you can only by normal entrance tickets now, kevin told me that paddock cars where only available on pre-sale

so i'm back home, i went for 3 days afterall, altough i did leave sunday at 1:30 pm since i wanted to leave before all traffic got stuck and i need to work tomorrow morning so i wanted to be back at some decent hour and not somewhere in the night.
Besides i didn't sleep last night since i spended the entire night besides the track taking pics :green:

ooh what a lovelly event it was (altough organisation was a bit of a mess)
but the amount of cars there was more then satisfying and walking around the track was also loads of fun ofcourse

Dirk,

I can´t wait to see some pictures of it! Looks like a very nice event! I´ve never been at Le Mans, so perhaps something to look after in 2005!
yes its very nice, and i will be going back
but you will have to wait till 2006, it's only every 2 years

i also had a ride along an oldtimer bus around the track, that was pretty amazing aswell, especially since the concours entered le mans cars where out on the track aswell, wich got me some great pics from out the bus while they where passing us :D

and yep, the sunrise pics came out pretty good, altough i wasn't happy with the sunrise itself, the colour shading wasn't that big unfortunually

and man around 5 in the morning it started to get REALLY cold around the track

The beauty of watching these "Classic Race Cars" at places like Le Mans is, they're cars that we see in the showrooms before. It's so easy to connect them to our road cars. Now the cars are one-offs and they don't look anything like the cars in the showrooms. I'd like Le Mans to limit their cars to those of the FIA GT and N-GT class only. Lets leave the Audi and the Bentley prototypes out.
