I have a mondial that is leaking from the seals behind the timing drive pulleys. I removed the pulleys and there is a seal that is glued in place and there is not much of a lip for the seal to fit in to. Is that right or is the seal supposed to be behind the bearing?

You haven't given us a lot of info. Did you just get the car or have you had it for awhile and this is a chronic problem? When I got my car the dealer told me it leaked from that very same spot but once I put a few miles on the car the leak went away. My car has not leaked a drop in 2 years.

Having the cam belt pulleys off tells me that this was a major concern. I don't know about the glue, but the seal should be outboard of the bearing. Since you are this far, I would go ahead and replace the seals, adjust the valves and replace the timing belts.

Let us know how you make out.
