So, I've been lurking around here for months and posting for a few weeks, but I totally forgot to come in an introduce myself! My name is Breck and currently I'm in school studying biological sciences so I can move on to med school, but I've loved Ferrari's for years. If all is well I'll have enough saved up by the time I am finished with school to be able to pick up preferably one of the 512s or a 355/360 and have enough for maintenance. I'm 19 and this fall will be entering my first full time semester(took a break after highschool) of classes. I'm from Southern Illinois and already feel like I know some of you guys. I've decided that if I put my savings into CDs I can draw far more interest than having it sit in a savings account and will try to put any extra cash I get that doesn't go towards school/living (thank God for grants and scholarships), into the bank. Part of it in a savings account, part of it towards car fund. Right now I've got about 10k but am thinking of using part of that to pick up a cheap import like a Lancer or Civic to help save on gas. If I live on campus any financial aid I get can be used to go towards living expenses so...

Anyway, it's nice to meet all of you!

It took me 20 years because I never took most of the following advice

Don't go out
Don't drink
Don't gamble
Don't do drugs
Don't buy new clothes
Don't buy CD's or downlaods
Don't buy computer/xbox or PS games
Don't have an expensive woman
Don't get married
Don't get divorced
Don't have kids
Don't rob a bank, get a job instead.
never admit the kid is yours (demand a paternity test )
The list could be endless, but you get the message.

Archie is not the Captain. I'm the Captain.

But I do agree with everything he said and all those reasons he gave are the reasons why it took me 20 years to get a Ferrari also.

But here is my advice. Treat your time at school like a job. Getting good grades is easy. Dress nice, show up on time every day and do what the instructor tells you to do. Your education is an investment in your future, treat it as such.
