Does anyone know what charges apply in you import a Ferrari from Switzerland into an EU country (assume that this is acountry that does not have any fees if you bring a car in from another EU country) ?
you must of course pay the VAT on the car, plus i guess there is a fee per Kg (but it's quite low).
Then, you must go to the "service des mines" in france, or TUV in Germany etc (depends on where you live) to have your car registered as a legal car in your country. This is complex if the car has never been sold in your country. Otherwise, there is a certificate you can get from the local importer stating the car complies with the countries legislation...
That's for foreigners that don't have the legal paperwork to live in switzerland, maybe the cars are even duty free, but i'm not sure on that.
But i think usually it's not legal to drive such a car in your country of residence, for tax reasons.
