I'm kind of inclined to blame schumacher for the crash. Not because I hate the bastard (and ferrari) but because, in my opinion, he really called it on himself. Heidfeld was overtaking him and schumacher made a false "scare" move to the right (before entering the corner) to close the door on Heidfeld. Heidfeld as a result reacted by also steering right and ended up on the grass with at least two wheels. And as we all know... it's kinda hard to brake on grass so he unfortunately (for Heidfeld of course) torpedoed schumacher. Maybe Heidfeld should have expected it from schumacher (after all... Nick is not new to racing... a lot of people do it) but I think schumacher has himself to blame. Maybe Heidfeld wasn't anticipating race-moves like that because he hasn't raced a real race in 4 or 5 months. It takes a while to get back into the real race rythm.
And we've all seen schumacher crash off Damon Hill a long time ago in the final (descisive) race of the season. So he's not new to being a little aggresive (I call it "being an a$$hole") on the tracks.
Besides... schumacher wasn't doing really good laps then. If Heidfeld was close enough to overtake schumacher then there must have been good reason to (i.e. schumacher being slow)
Just my two cents
