Love to see photos of the interior fitted with all the ivory.
Must look great with ivory carpets

Have to go barefoot to avoid stains!
Interior is not in the car but here is a pic of the carpet "really plush" and door panel before I cleaned it excuse the dirt.

Dave, looking good. Have you considered painting the rims yourself? If the guy's shop was really messy, why did you bring your car to him in the first place?

Hi Joe,

My paint booth is too small for wheels. I could possibly do one at a time but that would be a pain.

I used that painter because a friend recommended him after the first guy screwed me around, although I had my doubts.

I never took him the car - only parts. He did a good job on the body panels but not so much with the wheels.

The shop that has them now has done nothing over the last 2 weeks but that is ok as it's not holding me up.

Now that you have 3 of these beautiful ladies, will one of them get some modifications? Carbon fiber and aluminum aftermarket parts? Straight piped maybe???? Please? LOL

Thanks, Jim :) We'd be glad to do your vents :)

Bad news on the wheels - they don't look great. That photo is a low resolution photo that was further reduced when uploaded. When I saw the wheels in person, I almost fell to the floor - see attached. The base looks horrible - very textured dry finish and lot's of dust and crap in the clear.

I'm picking up wheels tomorrow and taking them to another shop for rework as this guy is not very professional. I found a new shop that looks much better.
Dave do you have a pic of original painted wheels. Reason i ask is mine kinda look like those, maybe a bit less textured but you can definately see the texture. Thanks.

Hey Grant,

I'll try and remember to take on of my 98 which has virgin wheels. Given it's metallic, you do see some texture but nothing like the way these came out.

I am kinda trying to get a good baseline. These cars are getting old enough that oftain stock is not what was there when we bought them.

I just had my wheels i bought from Rick finished and they were about 200 each but one needed a full treatment. The others did not need to go down below primer. Interestingly the one wheel that needed full treatment had been fixed previously poorly with bondo and we machined it down a little.

I felt that was better than bondo and it did not change the profile enough to notice.

Thanks

Mine all have a bit of texture so I am not sure what I really have at this point.

Grant, the paint shop that has them now, has a light blue metallic ford IIRC, in the shop that they painted and aside from the color, it's a perfect match to the OEM wheels. Age has nothing to do with it - it's all about the skill of the painter.

I took these down to bare because they were done prior and they had chipped to bare in spots. Sanding and a respray was not going to cut it on this set.

Hmmm...my rear bumper was a silver colour inside...don't know about the front.
Your bumper is different than a 1995 bumper. Yes it's painted silver as is my 98. It's also press molded fiberglass where the 95 bumpers are hand laid fiberglass.

Did they have the full Dow7 treatment Dave?

Yep. These were stripped bare, send for Dow7 and then epoxy primed. The painter that corrected the other guys work just sanded down the clear coat into the base and re-worked from there.
