I am gonna be attending a tech college to get my automotive tech degree but is that enough to become a technician for ferrari. I called up ferrari of north america and i talked to some lady that said that all u need is the auto tech degree but i didnt think that made any sense. So if anyone can give me a little info on this i would really appreciate. thanks

I think you have to be at least a good technician to be a Ferrari technician.

Maybe you can start buying Ferrari technical manual's, and start to learn the parts of the cars. This will be a good feature, to become a F-technician.

The good news is you will have the ability to charge $200 dollars per hour just for doing a technical inspection (Still hurts me) - Now you don't get that sort of rate at Honda!!!

There are two ways to go here. You can be an independant technician specializing in Ferraris, but working on numerous import cars. Or you can work for an authorized Ferrari dealer/service center....I've heard that you'd start out as an "apprentice" and work your way up the ladder. I have done lots of work on my Ferrari, and have considered working on other's cars as a sideline job. But beware, the liabilities of making a mistake are MUCH larger than for a normal car. And with many fcars requiring engine-out for proper servicing, having to do this a second time because of some small oversight can break you in a hurry. If you can, talk to some exotic car mechanics about your desire and listen to their adivce. I don't want to discourage you in any way....just have your eyes and ears wide open when going down this road. Good Luck !!
