Hi,
I don't have a Ferrari, but my Lancia Thema 832 has a Ferrari engine.
Not exactly a 308 QV motor ( 90 degree crank instead of 180 ) but the
top end is the same. I think.
My problem is low compression - in kilos 4, 8, 8, 5 front bank
11, 11, 11, 8 rear. How bad is that?
We are going to take off the heads, and repair what is necessary.
2 questions
1. Anything we should look out for, or is it more or less straight
forward?
2 While the heads are off, are there any modifications that can
be made to valves, valve seats, etc that might give a little more
poke?
3 (Sorry) A post on this forum advised staying away from Ferrari
sodium filled exhaust valves - could someone elaborate on that
and maybe suggest an alternative.
Thanks in advance for any help
Peter
