You can get them rebuilt with a new tech circuit card on an exchange basis through GT Auto Parts in Az for a lot less. I have their prototype #2 and it works wonders.I have been finding info on replacement Mondial fuseboxes.
So far this is what I found:
Fusebox US$1200 - lead time 6 weeks
Wiper control unit about US$150 - lead time 4 weeks
To be a bit blunt, in my experience the price difference was almost $400, which is even really a bit moot, as I have not really seen that the new build units are even available in reality. Even then, the support of that product is tenuous. Clive is a great guy, but he has another job to focus on.I don't see much price difference from GT Car Parts except for the fact that they are domestic.
They do 328's, Testarossa's, and Mondials.
It's done on an exchange basis.
Good info though, Russ.
Was this the same man with the pullies? I thought he was still up and going. All well said and I am quite concerned as to his designated sales agent for the US!
A friend is $2,600.00 into him for work never done on his 328 and the new "distributor" is no longer in business.
