The Ford GT40....
Lets just take a moment and put a few cars inline with the Ford GT, and compare a few attributes. The Ford GT isn't a bad looking car, better looking in person, but its beauty is similar to the beaty of the F40... The F40 is a lovely thing to look at, but all in all, its no 355. We all do forget one thing, and that is that Ferrari haven't the obligation to produce a performer. For instance, look at the 612 Scaglietti.... Not extremely quick, yet still a big block V12. Ferrari initially produced it to have a luxurious GT in the market. You put that Scaglietti with a DB9 and it will most probably get beaten. Ferrari is all about the principle and accomplishment reached. You buy the Ford GT, sure it is a better performer all-round, but who would appreciate more than a Ferrari? Yes, there will be those who would like to see Ferrari at the bottum just because they produce expensive material, but those individuals obviously dont understand Ferrari as a manufacture. Lets take a F430 a Lambo Gallardo and a Ford GT. The F430 has a Ferrari V8, lovely sharp edges (to some) and as glamourous as you can get as far as these 3 are concerned. The Gallardo has the retrofied look to it, powered by a V10 outrunning the 360 and being just as quick as the 996 Turbo. The Gallardo holds a unique stance but has less sophostication than the Ferrari. The Ford GT...An American supercar, flashy retro looks, good V8 growl and lots of power in every form. When you get the Ferrari or Lambo, you are almost paying for the name and glamour that comes with the package. This is the same case with the Enzo vs the CarreraGT: Ferrari happens to be just as quick if not quicker, but is priced much, much higher. People fail to understand what the Enzo is, and its not just any Ferrari or supercar. Porsche had to throw in all that technology to give something to show on behaf of the CGt, while Ferrari can be there providing less tech, and selling for over double the price. You are clearly paying for more than just the car there, and that applies with all current Ferrari which hit the popular magazine covers.
But the Ford GT is a stunning buy and very good value...
congrats
