It is a working prototype based on the 550 Maranello. I saw it a few years ago, but it was somewhere inside, and I didn't bring a flash, so no pics here. I do have the presskit of the car, which includes 5 slides.

I have outdoor pics of it somewhere on my desktop computer but right now I am using my laptop. When I get back, I'll try to remember to post them.

I have seen the car two weeks ago, will post pictures of it later (have to eat now). As Bob said, the car is based on a Maranello and was 'introduced'around 2000 if I remember correct.

i saw the car a year or 2 ago :-?
and it's a working prototype and belongs to the Pininfarina collection
and no there are no, where no plans to make a production car out of it unfortunually.
it was "just" a design study by Pininfarina to show that they are still on their game

Hello,

I ve seen the car on the Essen Motor Show in Germany!

I have some great pics of it with me in the front. That's not so beautiful...
but I was so lucky that a my girfriend could take some shots because there were some security guys which doesnt'saw that!!! As you can see i had to jump over the line :)

The car is a prototype but it can drive!! So it's not only a body as many people think.

hey guys thanx for all the info on this baby, i have to say it is a pretty futuristic looking ferrari. but i really like the back end on it, the front end i would make a few changes to if i was on the design team. i hope to see a better version on the roads in the future.

Agree, what Ferrari needs to produce is a new entry level Dino (3 seater) priced around Euro 100k. :D
Back to that topic are we? That brings up a good point, which was touched on by ze_shark in the topic about viable business models.

Can Ferrari make a $100k car that turns a profit even at a low production number. I think it would be risky to make a 20,000/year production for Ferrari so can they make 7,000 - 9,000 cars at $100k and at the end of the day have profit?

We need to get Ferrari's business guys on here to hash out some numbers with us.

How open is the Italian accounting market? Can we get Fiat's fiscal reports and quarterly filings (assuming Italy does 1/4s)?
