Looks like a one off showcar built by Giorgetto Giugiaro based on a Ferrari. I read some other sources that indicated a 612 based car. Couldn't find any pictures yet.
It is a shame I don't live in Tokyo anymore. According to a recent email from United Airline I could get there for $500 during that week....hummm....is it worth it?
I wouldn't pay $500 and fly for 10 hours just to see a car. It will probably travel around the world since it is quite expensive to build a car like that (I assume) so they won't keep it for one show.
One thing that struck me as odd is the incorporation of a folding rear seat. I dont know if thats really important to tell you the truth, and the incorporation of practicality into the design seems kind of like they missed the idea behind 'Ferrari'.
Next thing you know the GG 50-a will have a 4 cylinder engine to optimize mpg and a roof rack for your bike.
i dunno... i'm not a big fan of Giugiaro's work,... on a recent trip to Turino, Italy for the launch of the latest RUF car (where i was also able to meet Mr. Pininfarina! lol), some Italian dude pulls up in an Aston Martin, designed by Guigiaro.. it was a concept of the DB7 which Aston never adopted.....
i thought the thing was hideous.. he put masking tape on the front hood as a 'style' ... i got pix somewhere.. i'll try and dig 'em up.. :green:
