Hi I am in the Limousine Industry and just about to stretch my 2001 360 in black ,I know This may sound crazy to some of you but this is what I do for a job. Most Limos we build are made from steel but on this project we have got a carbon fibre specialist Carbonyte involved they worked on the Mclaren SLR ,the whole stretch section of 140inches will be made from carbon to keep he weight down the middle stretch section will be a gull wing door and the interior wont be the usual limo style it will be 8 matching forward faceing seats all matching the ferrari trim my intensions is to run it in one of the rallys ie gumball or carbon black rally and then put it into my rental fleet for special events , The carbon black rally sounds cool as our 360 will be a carbon black limo . I am interested in your opinions and thoughts I am no ferrari expert and would like some Tech help along the way ,we will be cutting the 360 next week sun 3rd december there will be a couple of car magazines there for the cut and they will be documenting the whole story .We will also be filming it for UTUBE. You can see some of the other limos we have built on my rental site www.stylelimousines.co.uk .
and www.pinnaclelimo.co.uk

All media are welcome contact dan on +447799 712438
We will also post photos during the build

I Fully accept that you ferrari guys will find this project totaly horrible , However for myself Limos is my Industry and thats were we earn our money I must admit I was a bit disapointed with having to cut this loverly car in two .

The rental company that have comisioned this limo have had a huge interest and have already took lots of bookings ,it apears lots of people want the ferrari experiance. we have even had a car collector from dubai trying to purchase it.

I only put it on this forum so you guys had something different to read and hopefully give me some tech advise if needed.

If you are not young or in the limo buisness then I guess you will hate it ,

thanks Dan

Ferrari 360 Limo...

To me,
The 360 Limo just looks plain weird!
Although, I am not saying at all that it is stupid
to have built one, I am for different ferrari autos!:drive:
Does anyone know how fast the limo can actually go?

I agree that it is against the spirit of the original but at least it was a "mass produced" car that has been cut up. Better than wasting a 250 to make another GTO or TR clone.

Dan,
first of all, thank you for posting this.
It sure is different than what we're used to see in/on/about/with a Ferrari. I'm not saying I love or hate it, I just find it intresting. I've seen some pictures on WWW about some stretched Ferraris before, but these were 2 + 2 models to begin with. Now that you've done it with a 2 seater I'm very curious about the result.
Best

If you are going to cut any Ferrari to make a limo out of it, it should be a 456 GT or a 612. Both a least are 2+2 (four seat) grand tourers. Cutting up a 360 is just plain wrong. Turning it into a limo completely destroys the entire purpose of the car.
Nooo, please don't do that to a 456, that would be absolutely awful.

Dan,
Although I agree with Boxer in that a 2+2 should have been selected for the conversion, I'm impressed with the engineering that went into the project. I can't believe the added weight was only 150 kg! Wow! That's less weight than 2 bodies stuffed in the trunk! (if they are dead they fit, so I've heard).

How About a 10 wheeled F-40 convertible limo?

OK-! here's one for the books...
These are brought-to-you-by: LimoBoB.com

a F-40... stretched... with 6 rear wheel drive and 4 wheel steer...
and no less a convertible?

My Comment: I did like the plane or converted jet Limo. Too bad it does not float. That would give everyone something to talk about.

Limo Dan... what can you say about this article, The Ferrari Limo Is Not A Real Ferrari?

On the article, it says that, you were threatened by a law suit if you are not going to remove the Ferrari symbols, names, and distinguishing marks from the vehicle.

What actions you guys are doing at the moment?
