OK gang, heres just a few photos from this weekends Ferrari Challenge race at Sears points California. Matt and I attended on Saturday and had a great time. I even got to help out in the pits with the Ferrari of SF pit crew - So cool.

I've got another 60+ pictures that I will drop to a web site and provide a link later

Great yellow Enzo that went out on the track (See photo) Sounded fantastic accelerating past the pits

You'll notice from the last photo that the Ferrari of SF Challenge car has had a "little work". The reason: the car hit the wall, backwards, at 95mph on Friday. The Ferrari of SF team worked all night just to get the car on the track for the Saturday qualifing. The whole back end of the car is held together with tape!!!!!

I'm now so charged up about Ferrari track events I've decided to buy a challenge car.. Talked to my buddies at Ferrari of SF and they are going to find one for me.

All the best

Ah ha! Dermot, so that was your 360 with the sport seats and those little stickers by the intake! Nice! :D
Thats the one... The carbon fiber racing seats are absolutly amazing (I recommend them to anyone), they really make a huge difference in the way you feel the car when driving fast, its more like been in a cart then a car. The car also has a Tubi, lots of other carbon fiber bits + every standard extra Ferrari provides (Inc the spare wheel option)..

Ay, I've got a couple videos of that beast! Absolutely fantastic! That thing sounds amazing...! If you wanna see/hear one, hit me up.

Ah, Dermot, you're making me regret more and more not remembering to call you! :p
Rosso: Ya could have joined me in the pits as well, it was a blast especially given the damage the F of SF car sustained!

Now that sounds like an offer! - I've been eyeing up a number of the performance kits on the market over that past year, a lot of them come with some absolutly awful body modifications so I've had some difficulty deciding if its a good thing or bad thing to do! :ugh:

Ah, Dermot. I agree, most of the body modifications that I've seen are pretty bad looking. That Hamann kit just messes up the lines of the car. There's really only one body modification that I've seen that I've come to like, the Imola Racing modifications, which make the car look similar to the N-GT car. They also do some nice performance modifications on the engine.

The Imola racing is my favorate right now, problem is I'm still torn about getting a challenge car or not. I've seen two cars now, and to be frank I'm starting to wonder just how much expense I'm going to get myself into.. Both cars needed a fair amount of work on engine and body, and one looked like it had been driven into the ground (A 360 Challenge) - Maybe modifing my 360 is the way to go after all!

Ah yes. So you're having second thoughts about wether or not to buy the challenge car. Tough descision. So on top of the initial cost of ~$90K for the 360 Challenge car, you'll probalby be putting in at least another ~$20K+ for work for it, as it sounds? Eh, perhaps your right, modifying your car sounds a bit more feasable.
