I would disagree, been searching for a mint 550 for the past 6 months (and still am :-( ), and a 575M would not do it for me. Better looking interior but I don't like the headlights and the front bumper design. The 550 looks sharper in my opinion.
F1 box is a no-go for me for a car like this, I like it for what it is on my 355 but the manual box is much more in the spirit of a grand tourer like the Maranello.
Aside from the tactile involvement aspect of this, I'd be worried how fast 575M F1 clutches get fried by the box, considering that the car, unlike 355's and 360's, has loads of low end torque.

I am in Switzerland, buying a swiss car, in the dealer network, with a Ferrari warranty. Too risky otherwise.
There are loads of cars in the US, but the prices are at least a good 10% higher than here, even with the US$ being at its lowest since a long time.
