Hello, sorry I am new to the Forum, and writing from the UK so euro spec car.

Quick intro, I have owned 308, 308 turbo intercooler, 348, 550, 355, 430 but am currently back to a 308 GTSi which I love but am really amazed at how slow it is mainly from stand still through the first gears.

I have read in the US some very old threads here on supercharging from years ago. I just wondered if anyone has one now, has done one in the past or has any experience.

My mechanic is telling me it would be simple to bolt on, but may cause problems down the line stressing the engine. I would run it on a low compression as I am not looking for crazy power, just to get it moving a bit!

Also interested in where to buy and if any second hand ones around!

Experiences on 308, Mondial, 328 I guess would all the relevant.

Robert, the best source for ideas and suggestions would be Mark Eberhardt who added a Roots type supercharger to his 308 years ago.

Hi Cribbj, thank you so much for your reply - I noticed there isn't much posting regarding supercharging over the last 8 years, it seems to all be very old posts. I will have a dig around and see what I find. Thanks again for getting back to me.

Actually combing through that thread it seems the guy you mentioned gave up on his supercharger mod - maybe it is isn;t so straight forward? I am looking at having the SC sent across to Italy where the car is and installed there so would have no one who's done it before. Does anyone know if this is relatively straight forward?

Also would it have major impact long run on the engine? other mods needed or just bolt on?

Any help would be appreciated, I will of course follow up on the other forum too.
