Having been concerned about the issue, I have just got off the phone with Steve at Top Gear in Bridport.

They manufacture a pair of headers for the F430 (direct replacement) and are retailing these at £1199 per pair.

Used Ferrari F430 Stainless Steel Manifolds Pair for sale - PistonHeads (Ref 803286)

This seems like a reasonable cost incursion vs replacing with an original part.

Having asked about heat shielding, Steve also said that the manifolds can be wrapped to shield, however given it's tubular design, the clearances between the manifold and any other components was greater.

The 430 is in Dick Lovett Ferrari for a diagnosis pertaining to some rattles and tappets on Friday, should anything be discovered, this may be a viable option without sacrificing quality. (Anything must be better that the mk2s on my '06 spider).

This thread is directed more so at UK chaps whom are looking for a well made, budget replacement and is not a plug as such, just an option.

Kindest Regards

Very true.

This was more of a 'general awareness' post towards anyone wanting 'better than factory' specced headers at a sensible price.

These headers would not negate a capristo muffler bracket.
Great piece of engineering.

CR, thanks for sharing. I never heard of them before. It's very difficult to judge the quality of these exhaust headers from this simple link. I'm always a bit on my guards when I see cheap solutions while these exhaust headers are really expensive to manufacture, not saying even how much R&D and tests are needed. Exhaust flow is a serious thing as well as keeping possible hot points under control. But if you want to give it a try, why not. Just make sure first where they have been really manufactured!
