Just awesome!

What is the "slow down" warning light on the dash for?

Great Pictures! I can't decide which one I like best. The paint on that car looks flawless!

Thanks for putting up the pictures!

I´m speechless

she is just perfect, boxer!!

congratulations!!

now a few questions:

Michelin tires? I thought it had Pirellis! Are Michelin tires better?

What pressure do the turbos get to? Do they reach 1,5 bar? Do you know the size of the turbine? Can you actually see the turbos when the back is opened? If you do see them, please take a picture for me!

Does the car still have the owner´s manual? Can you take a picture of it for me, please? Also, if you can take a picture of the keys, and of the dials in the center console (in front of the gear), it would be great! Thanks!

It is similar to the "slow down" warning lights in the later 90's Ferraris. If the cats start to overheat, it cuts power to the engine. There is one for each bank of cylinders.
Thanks. Sorry for my ignorance. I think I'll stick with precat Ferraris ;)

Thanks. There are four type of tires approved for the F40, Pirellis, Goodyear, Bridgestone, and Michelin. The Michelins tend to last the longest while the Pirellis have the best handling.

On the Turbos, you can see them but they are buried under a lot of other components in the engine bay.

I do have the manual and will post a picture of it shortly.

Cheers

Wonderful

Jimmy, Absolutely. This is a good weather only car ! I have no interest in adding to the high pile of F40 carcasses.
Even though we have never met, from this Forum venue correspondences, I knew you're a sensible individual. The Gs' must be something to experience in a F40. The car is so light and powerful. Personally, I look at F40 as the last of the street going race car that Enzo personally oversaw its creation. Jimmy

WOW

The company where I have purchased my Dino from last week had one F40 in their inventory, standing alongside a 250 SWB, several 275's a 250 convertible, and several more cars to drool over.

I must admit, that even if I was about to own that immaculate Dino, I really had trouble looking away from that F40. Maybe it is because (like so many of us, I suspect) I had a poster of it in my room not all that long ago....

Congratulations Boxer!

www.vsoc.nl (for Very Superior Old Cars)

In fact, he's got more cars in his shop than he has for sale on his web site. I'm not sure if everything he's got parked there is for sale. Might be that he is simply storing some of his customer's cars. Not sure.

The site is worth a look though.... All cars are top notch. If it is not in 100% condition and/or very special, he does not want to sell it for you (he's doing a lot of brokerage rather than purchasing everything himself)

Boxer,
Just discovered this thread, even though I know you now have an F-40. What a magnificent automobile! Congratulations! :)
